Thoracic Surgery
Advanced surgical treatment of a wide variety of thoracic diseases is provided by six fellowship-trained, Board-Certified thoracic surgeons. Comprehensive approaches to the management of benign and malignant diseases of the lung, esophagus, and mediastinum are combined with modern and innovative surgical techniques in order to provide the most effective and efficient mode of therapy. Vascular Surgery
Comprehensive care for the patient with any and all major vascular diseases is provided by six fellowship-trained, Board-Certified vascular surgeons through the auspices of the Vascular Institute of the Piedmont.
We emphasize the complete care of patients with vascular diseases by combining our expertise in vascular surgery with non-invasive vascular examination, peripheral angiography, and catheter-based therapy including percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, stent placement, and other advanced technologies. Our vascular lab is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). Commonly performed procedures include:

Vascular Institute of Piedmont
CVTS formed the Vascular Institute of the Piedmont (VIP) in 1998 to more clearly identify the division of peripheral vascular services available within CVTS. The goals of VIP include the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of patients with peripheral vascular disease utilizing services including:
